Bobby E Brumfield, Sr.

Bobby Eugene Brumfield, Sr. 82, of Milroy, IN formerly of Arlington, IN,passed way January 29, 2024.

Bobby was born November 26, 1941 in Wayne, County West Virginia to the late Samuel and Florence (Crum) Brumfield.

He married Shirley A. Ratekin on July 20, 1963 and she would precede him in death on July 30, 2007. They enjoyed 48 years of marriage. Bobby retired from Navistar after 32 years. He was an avid deer hunter and was a big fan of western movies, but he loved his family the most.

Bobby served in the United States Army.

He was loved and cared for in later years by his son Chris A. (Christy) Brumfield, of Milroy, IN.  Also missing him are his eight grandchildren, ten great-grand children and his only surviving sibling, Harold (Beverly) of Greensburg, IN.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents and wife Shirley, he was preceded in death by his son Bobby Brumfield, Jr; daughter Sandra Buchannan and his siblings Joe, Clottene, Burl, Glen and Vadie.

Military honors will be provided by the Rushville American Legion Honor Guard at 1 P.M. Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory.  Burial will follow at Arlington East Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 11 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
