Joan D. (Ariens) Patterson

Joan D. Patterson, 70, of Laurel, IN, passed away November 7, 2019 at Hickory Creek of Connersville.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory in Rushville with Ryan Patterson officiating.  Friends are invited to call from 11:00 AM until the time of the funeral.  Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery in Raleigh, IN.

Joan was born in Connersville, IN on July 2, 1949, a daughter of the late Valeta B. (Duncan) and Charles P. Ariens.  She married Wayne Edwin Patterson June 8, 1966 and he passed away Oct. 19, 2006.  They were married 40 years.

She worked as a factory worker at  the fomer J & J Packaging, now Deufol for 25 years.  Her grandchildren were her joy in life.   Surviving her are one daughter, Angela A. (Roger) Howard, of Connersville, and a son, Earl D. (Lisa) Patterson, of Farmland, IN;  two sisters, Irene, (widow of Harold) Sudler, of Laurel and Winnie (Ernie) Patterson, of Falmouth.  

Loving her always are her three grandchildren, Ryan (Kristen) Patterson of Brookville; Nicole (Steven) Miller of Brookville and Tyler Howard of Connersville;  five great grandchildren, Olivia, Mason, Rebel, Brynn &  Marcella Joan

In addition to her husband Wayne, she was preceded by a son, Charles Patterson and sister, Marilyn Warner.
