William F. Moran Jr. 69, of Rushville, IN passed away Nov. 6, 2019 at his residence following a lengthly illness.
Visitation for Bill Moran will be 4 to 8 PM Friday, Nov. 8, 2019 at Todd Funeral Centre where all are invited to recite the rosary at 3:45 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019 at St Mary Catholic Church with Rev. James Brockmeier. Burial will follow at Rushville’s Calvary Cemetery.
Bill was born Mar. 28, 1950 in Rushville a son of the late Mary Regina “Jean” (Freese) Moran and William F. Moran. He married Lois A. Newton Dec. 28, 1979 and she survives.
He was a 1969 graduate of RCHS and was a member of the FFA. He grew up and worked on the family farm. Bill worked at many jobs through his life including hauling steel for Shelby Steel, O’Neal Steel and driving with his wife for their company Moran Trucking Inc. They also had a small construction business through the years. Bill was a great neighbor, quick to help anyone in need. He was a member of St Mary Catholic Church.
In addition to is wife of nearly 40 years, he is survived by his daughter, Tonya (Brad) Ervine and their child, Ty Ervine. One son, William Joe (Cara) Moran and their children, Starr Moran and Lane Palmer all of Rushville. Four sisters, Barbara Moran, Joey (Kim) Farlow both of Milroy, Peggy (Bob) Rich of Mays and Susie (David) Hubbell of Lewisville, IN. Two brothers, Pat Moran and Tim (Ellen) Moran both of Rushville.
His Father-in-law, Maurice Newton, Mother-in-law, Naomi Harlow both of Rushville, one brother-in-law, Edwin Newton of Bainbridge, GA also survive. Bill’s favorite dog “Chuie” will also miss him. His sister Kathy Ketcham preceded him in death.
