Bennett B. Morris

Bennett B. Morris, 84, formally of Rushville passed away on April 7, 2023 in Cicero, IN.

Bennett was born in Celina, TN on May 9, 1938, a son of the late Eddie Morris and Nola Spear Morris.  He attended and graduated from the former Jackson Central High School in 1956 in Acadia, IN.  He then went on to have a 30 year career as a truck driver for the Schnadig Corporation and USF Holland.  Upon retirement he then enjoyed driving for the local Amish community for many years.  He was an outdoors man and loved to garden.

He dated Noretta K. Six fir five years and they were then married June 26, 1976 at the First Baptist Church in Rushville, IN.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Brett Morris, of Greensburg, IN; and a step son, Robert (Sherry) Dishong, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and loving sister-in-law, Shirley (Ed) Higgins of New Castle, IN.  Two grandchildren, Jessica Morris and Jayda Morris and great granddaughter Annahra Dishong will also miss him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Butch Morris, and son, Boyd Morris.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1PM on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Todd Funeral Centre and Crematory with Minnow Hershberger offering words of comfort.  Friends may call after 11AM until time of service.  Burial will be at Arlington, IN East Hill Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association 8180 Greensboro Drive Suite 400 McLean, VA 22102.
