Betty Jean (Thornell) Cain

Betty Jean Cain, 91, of Milroy, IN passed away March 1, 2023 at her residence.

She was born in Meridian, MS on December 9, 1931, a daughter of the late Loraine (Crabtree) and Henry Warren Thornell. She married Robert  Cain Jr. in 1956 at Meridian, MS and spent 66 wonderful years together.

She worked for many years as a factory worker at RCA and also enjoyed working at Rush County Schools.

Betty is  survived by her husband, Robert, two daughters, Robin E. (Steve) Cain, of Milroy, IN and Donna L. (Mike) Duncan, of Carmel, IN; a son, Alfred A. (Vicki) Knight, of Indianapolis, IN. Eight grandchildren, Samantha McClard, James Conger, Robert (Sarah) Sweet, Tyler (Austin) Sanders, Chelsy Richardson and Bryce Eveland. Also missing her is 11 great-grandchildren, Shannon Burrage, Andrea McClard, Estellah Sweet, Jonah Sweet, Beckham Sweet, Chapel Sweet, Amelia Sanders, Jadelynn Richardson, Aubrey Richardson, Robert Milton III and Landon Richardson.

Betty is preceded in death by her sister, Jenny Howington.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11AM on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory with Robert Sweet giving words of comfort. Friends are welcome to visitation at 10:30AM until the time of service. Burial will follow at East Brook Cemetery.
