Diana J. (Beard) Todd

Diana Jo Todd, 70, of Rushville, IN, passed away Feb. 17, 2022, in the Simon Cancer Center at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis.

Diana was born in Rushville, IN on May 22, 1951, a daughter of the late Mary Louise (Cook) Beard and Joseph L. Beard.  She was the widow of William P. Todd whom she married May 12, 1973, at St. Mary Catholic Church.  Bill passed away Nov. 13, 2012.

Diana graduated from Rushville High School in 1969 and started a 28 year career at Cargill/Nutrena Feeds as an administrative assistant.  After Nutrena Feeds closed the Rushville location, she then went to work for the JR Wortman Co. in Morristown, IN for 15 years.  Diana then retired after 12 years from the Rush County APC.

She was a member of the Rush County Home Ec Club, Hoosier Model T Club, National Model T Club and had been active in the Rush County Republican party in years past.  She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

Diana is survived by a daughter, Angela (Jon) Jacobus, of New Carlisle, OH; a son, William Matthew Todd (companion Kristina Jacobs) of Rushville, IN; four grandchildren Alexis, Dinah, Jon, and George Todd; four step-grandchildren Sarah, Robert, Jacob, and David; and five step-great grandchildren Nathaniel, Kendall, James, Robert, and Landon also survive.

Diana is also survived by two sisters, Debbie L. Cole; Sally (Joe) Niedenthal; and one brother, Mike (Mary Ann) Beard, all of Rushville, IN.  She has many nieces, nephews, and friends who love and will miss her.

In addition to her parents, Joe and Mary Beard, and her husband, Bill, she was preceded in death by her infant daughter Jennifer; one infant grandchild; and her loving brother, Joey Beard.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022, at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. James Brockmeier, celebrant.  All are welcome to recite the Rosary at 3:30 PM Friday, Feb. 25, 2022, at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory with visitation there until 8 PM.
