Dorothy M. (Merrell) Snyder

Dorothy Marie Snyder, 83, of Rushville, passed away Dec. 31, 2020 at the Flatrock River Lodge.

Dorothy was born in Connersville, IN on Dec. 11, 1937, the daughter of the late Bernadine H. Quinn and Charles W. Merrell.

She was the widow of Henry Norman "Shag" Snyder whom she married Sept. 17, 1960 and he passed away July 13, 2019.  She was a homemaker and loved the Christmas season. She was a member of the Gingham Gals Home Ec Club, St Mary Catholic Church in Rushville.

Dorothy is  survived by a daughter, Debra (Kevin) Banks, of Rushville;  two sons Mark (Taunie) Snyder of Vincennes, IN;  Matt (Andrea) Snyder, of Sellersburg, IN. 

She is also survived by seven grandchildren; Devin Banks, Danniella Banks, Karyn Banks, Kirah Banks, Leandra (Kyle) Long; Dr. Lindsay (Austin) Yoder and Mattie Snyder.  One great grandchild, Peyton Long, also will miss her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 AM Tuesday Jan. 5, 2021 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Connersville with Rev. James Brockmeier officiating.  Friends may call from 10 AM until the time of the service.  Burial will follow at the Dale Cemetery in Connersville.
