Fredric C. Harrison

Fredric C. Harrison "Fred", 85 of Orange, IN, passed away June 20, 2021 at home with loving family at his side.

He was born on August 21, 1935 to Cecil and Roxine Harrison of Milroy, IN.  Fred was a proud father and granddad of 5 children and 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Fred graduated high school in 1953 as a proud Milroy Cardinal and went to the Army as a medic and honorably discharged in 1965 after a tour in Germany during the Korean War. After discharge Fred work at Perfect Circle till he later started farming and logging. In the mid-70s he started to detasseling corn for Pioneer and later went to Magiera seeds and finally retiring after 40 years with Stewart seeds. He also hauled fire wood to countless ICAP clients for several decades.

Fred grew up in Milroy moving to Orange, in the late 60s after buying a farm with a load of Brahman calves he had bought from Greensburg, Indiana stockyards.

Fred was an active NRA member a proud Republican.  He also had many hobbies he enjoyed his grand kids,Coke Zero, popcorn, Oreos, watching westerns, barrel racing, basketball, along with trading horses raising hay and cattle.  He enjoyed Willie Nelson concerts, being outside checking the cattle,cruising the countryside and going down roads he had never been on.

Surviving him are his two sons Steve (Theresa) Harrison, John David (Jennifer) Harrison; three daughters Katie (Kerrry) Hill, Joni Harrison and Megan Harrison.  He is also survived by twelve grandchildren Steven, Matthew, Jessica, Emily, Summer, Kayla, Dakota, Laney, Cassie, Levi, Trenton and Cami. Ten great-grandchildren, Tucker, Maddie, Hunter, Sophia, Tabitha, Andrew, Francisco, Bonita, Aubrey and Carter will also miss him.

Funeral Services will be at 7 PM Thursday, June 24, 2021 at the Bever Homestead and Barn 7474 W. CR 500 S. Glenwood, IN 46133.  Visitation will be from 4 PM until the time of the service.  Please light a candle and share a memory or condolence with the family online at www.ToddFuneralHome.com
