Garrett L. Simmons

Garrett Lee Simmons, age 43, of Laurel, IN, passed away peacefully at home Jan. 27, 2023.

He was born Aug. 8, 1979 in Oxford, OH a son of Debra Ryckman Simmons and the late Thomas Simmons.  He graduated from Franklin County High School in 1998.  He worked as a carpenter many years and farmed recently.  He loved his family to an extreme and his absence will be difficult for them.

Garrett would hope that everyone could share his love for bass fishing and deer and turkey hunting.  He would want everybody to support the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals as he did.  Garrett thought they needed it.  He enjoyed watching Purdue games with anyone else who could Boiler Up!

Missing Garrett are his loving Mother, Debra Simmons, Step Father, Alvin Eden and brother, Brandon Simmons all of Franklin County; His aunts and uncles, James & Sue Gilbert of Connersville; Carol & Gene Lucas of Brookville, Sherry & Bob Shelly, Mark & Libby Simmons of Connersville.

He was predeceased by his grandparents and father Thomas Simmons

A Celebration of Life will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023 at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory in Rushville.  Rev. Darryl Cooper will offer words of comfort.  Friends are asked from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
