Harvey E. "Butch" Rogers III

Harvey E. Rogers III, known to all as Butch, passed away, July 16th, 2023 at his residence in Rushville, IN.

He was born on June 8th, 1941 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Harvey Rogers II and Ruth (Repschlager) Rogers. He also has 1 sister, Susie Sams and 1 brother, Nicholas Rogers.

He attended Wabash College and went to IU dental school and graduated in 1967 where he was a member of Delta IU Delta Fraternity. He moved from Indianapolis to Rushville to practice Dentistry for 30 years. He retired to be with the things he loved the most, his trees, dogs and family.

He married Donna S. (Humphrey) Rogers in 1967 and they spent 56 wonderful years together. They had 3 children and 2 grandchildren. He loved his rescue dogs, Dottie, Parker and Angel and his cat, Ugly.

He was the past President of Rotary. While in Rotary he hosted five exchange students and one set of businessmen from India. He was a past member of the Order of the Elks. he went to Gundy for several years. He loved the kids and helped form football league and coached Little League for three years. He was also on the health board for several years where he enjoyed the board members and serving Rush County.

Butch will be dearly missed by his wife, 3 children, Scott Alan Rogers, Tiffany Rogers and Charles K. Rogers. Also missing him are his sister, Susie, brother, Nicholas and his grandchildren, Elizabeth Rogers and Isabella Rogers.

A Mass of Remembrance will be held at 10 AM Friday July 21, 2023 at St. Mary Catholic Church 512 N. Perkins St. Rushville, IN 46173 with Rev. Dustin Boehm officiating. Friends are welcome at 9 AM until the time of service.
