Isom Mayse Jr.

Isom Mayse Jr., 77, of Rushville, passed away January 26, 2022, at Miller's Merry Manor.

He was born in Rushville, IN on September 18, 1944, a son of the late Mary (Becraft) Kendrick and Isom  Mayse.  He married Brenda  Kaye Bush May 8, 1965 in Connersville, IN and she preceded him in death October 31, 2017. 

He lived in Arlington and Rushville for many years.  He worked as a truck driver throughout his life.  His last employment was at Abrams Trucking.  Isom was a great presence in his entire family.  He and his wife shared 52 years together.  He will be always loved by his daughter Tammy, and all the grandchildren.

Isom is  survived by a daughter, Tammy Mayse, (companion Jim Clines), of Rushville; two grandchildren, Tyler (Emily) Sharp of Rushville and Samantha (Josh) Amburgy of Greensburg, IN; three great grandchildren, Shianne, Lillian & Elliott Sharp will also miss him. One half brother, Alan (Danita) Moore, of Mooresville, IN also survives.

Those gone before his are his loving wife Brenda Kaye Mayse; two sisters, Mary Lou Herbert and Wilma Mayse; a half sister, Joann Sturgil and half brother, Chuck Mayse.

The funeral service will be held 1 PM Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory in Rushville, IN with Dan Denney of the Plum Creek Christian Church officiating.  Visitation will be Saturday from 11 AM until the time of the funeral.
