Jerald (Jay) D. (Jr.) Stephen

Jerald (Jay) Dewayne Stephen Jr, 55, of Carthage IN, passed away January 31,2024 Jerald was born September 6, 1968 in Connersville, IN to Jerald and Debra (Logan) Stephen.

Jerald was a 1987 graduate of Morristown Jr/Sr high school. After graduation he join the Army. He was active duty until 1991. He married April Vise on December 15, 1991. He then pursued a career in the National Guard until 2002. He was also an ASE certified mechanic working in Florida for many year, before coming back home to IN.

In addition to his mother, Debra Stephen, Jay is survived by his children; Amber Stephen of Clarksville TN; David Stephen of Rushville IN; three grandchildren,Jonathon, Autumn, and Harper all of TN; one brother Timmothy (Keta) Stephen of New Port Richey FL; one sister, Suzanne(Al) Coe of Rushvile IN. Also missing him are his nephews Mathew Perkins, and Bryce Coe and nieces Cassy and Faith Coe and Ella Stephen. One great-niece and nephew Maddax and Shiloh; and several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

Jay is preceded in death by his father Jerald Sr and his wife April Stephen.

Visitation will be 11 AM to 2 PM Sunday February 4, 2024 at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory 1600 S. SR 3 Rushville, IN 46173

Military Honors will be at 1 PM Sunday February 4, 2024 conducted by the Rush County Honor Guard at the funeral home.

Funeral Services will be 2 PM Sunday February 4, 2024 at the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Edwards offering words of comfort.
