Joann K. Nance

Joann Kathryn Nance, age 58, a beloved sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2023, in Rushville, IN. Born on August 28, 1964, in Chicago, IL, Joann was a vibrant soul who brought joy and laughter to everyone.

She is survived by her devoted sister and caregiver, Jerri Wilson of Rushville, and her brothers, Chester and Thomas Nance, both of Indianapolis. Joann was a beloved aunt to seven nieces and nephews, who will remember her love and her infectious laughter.   She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas C. and Virginia Mae Parsons Nance.

Joann worked at SHARES in Rushville for three years. Her positive attitude and willingness to lend a helping hand was enjoyed by all who worked with her.

Joann had a deep love for music, particularly the hits from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. She had an uncanny ability to remember lyrics and was always eager to share them with others. She  loved the television series "I Dream of Jeannie." She knew every line from every episode and watching the show daily brought her immense joy.

Joann's life was a testament to her spirit of joy and love. She had a unique ability to find happiness in the simple things and to share that happiness with those around her. Her love for music, her devotion to her family are a testament to her vibrant spirit.
