Jonathan Brett Shaver

Jonathan Brett Shaver, 61, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away November 11, 2020. 

Jon (Brett) was born in Bloomington, IN on September 3, 1959, a son of Barbara J. (Shuler) Shaver, of New Castle, IN and the late Dr. Thomas X. Shaver.

He attended and graduated from Rushville Consolidated High School in 1978 where he loved baseball and football.  He worked in maintenance at the Beckman Coulter company in Indianapolis for many years.  He was a member of the UAW and attended the First Presbyterian Church when he resided in Rushville.  Fishing and hunting were enjoyments in his life.

Brett is  survived by two daughters, Kari (Chris) Wood, of Rushville,  Lindsay (Alex) Logan, of Hubert, NC;  three sons, Alexander (Kyla) Shaver, of Rushville, Jacob Shaver, of Dunreith, and Kyle Shaver, of Greenwood. 

He is also survived by two sisters, Dr. Kimberly Shaver-Hood, of Buzzards Bay, MA;  Kristin (Ed) Manning, of New Castle, and a brother, Daniel Shaver, of Camden, IN;  Also missing him are his grandchildren,  Casey and Kinsey Wood, Emma, Reed & Nora Logan, Brylee and Preslee Shaver and Eli Shaver

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a step grandson, Kaleb Wood.

There will be no public services.  Brett's wishes were to have private services with his family.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Riley Hospital for Children.
