Kathryn A. (Zobel) Carpenter

Kathryn Ann Carpenter, 96, of Rushville, IN, passed away May 16, 2021 at Miller's Merry Manor. 
Kathryn was born in Shelby County, IN November 21, 1924, a daughter of the late Johanna (Cord) and George C. Zobel.  She married Frank L. Carpenter June 26, 1946 and he preceded her in death Jan. 3, 2008. 

Kathryn graduated from Waldron High School and worked as an upholsterer at Schnadig Furniture in Rushville for 21 years.  She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.  Her smile and love were present when anyone shared her company.

She is survived by two daughters, Gina (Charles) Jenkins, of Rushville, Janet (Duane) Barker, of Columbus, IN; three sons Gerry (Sharon) Carpenter, of Edinburgh, IN, Frank Carpenter, of Whiteland, IN;  Nick (Dawne) Carpenter, of Lutz, FL; daughter-in-law Lisa Carpenter;  one brother, Thomas (Norma) Zobel, of Shelbyville, IN. 

She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren who will miss her every day.

In addition to her husband Frank, she was preceded in death by her brothers Edward and George "Cleon"; sister Dolores and one great-grand daughter.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. James Brockmeier celebrating.  Friends may call from 10 AM until the funeral mass.  Burial will follow at Rushville's Calvary Cemetery.
