Kevin P. ("Durb") Durbin 64, of Carthage, IN, passed away November 14th, at his residence.
Kevin was born in Taylorville,, IL on August 23, 1956, a son of the late Joan Mary (Edwards) and Ronald W. Durbin.
He graduated Taylorville (IL) High School in 1974 and then entered the US Army. He served as a Ranger in the United States and Germany. He was awarded the NDM, GCM and Expert Infantryman Badge and Expert Marksman Badge
He retired as a machine maintenance technician at Stanley Black & Decker Greenfield, where he retired in 2018. Durb also worked in a coal mine near Elkart, IL 8 years. He was a proud member of the American Legion and was past president of the Rush County Muscrats
Kevin is survived by four sons Nathan E. Durbin, of Carthage, John P (Janet) Bailey, of Peublo, CO, Kyle J. (Charlie D.) Gray, of Carthage and Cody P. Gray, of Knightstown; a daughter, Mary C. Gray, of Knightstown.
Kevin is also survived by a sister, Rhonda (Les) Grieme, of Hewitville, IL and a brother, David (Mary) Durbin, of Hewitville, IL, also missing him are his grandchildren, Koi Bailey, Alana Bailey, Maryna Bailey, Mariah Bailey. Emily Durbin, Lucus Gray, Rowen Gray and several nieces & nephews.
Preceding him in death are his parents Ron & Joan Durbin, three brothers, Colin, Rich & Greg; two sisters, Denise Ward & Colleen Ward.
God saw you getting tired and
a cure was not to be.
