Lawrence Samuel Brown

Lawrence Samuel “Sam” Brown, Fishers, formerly of Milroy, passed away February 1, 2022.

Sam was born October 10, 1933 in Rushville, IN to Edward and Ida (Buchanan) Brown.  He is a 1952 graduate of Milroy High School and a veteran of the Korean War.

Sam was retired from International Harvester in Indianapolis and letter carrier with the US Postal Service in Greensburg, IN. Sam had a great sense of humor and could always be found joking around trying to bring a smile to someone’s face. He spent many years helping and volunteering through multiple organizations in the Milroy community.

Sam leaves behind sons, Larry (Robin) Brown of Greensburg, IN; Mike Brown, Greenfield, IN; Walt (Jo) Brown, Greenfield, IN; Brian (Melissa) Brown, Rushville and daughters, Lori Brown, Indianapolis, IN and Brenda Brown, Shelbyville, IN. Sisters Rosemary Eggleston, Carmel, IN and Tammy (David) Hunsinger, Homer, IN. Grandchildren, Brian Brown, Rushville, IN; Kevin (Arlena) Brown, New Castle, IN; Kathy Brown, Rushville, IN; and Hannah (Jordan) Kohne, Mishawaka, IN. Great-grandchildren, Iris Kohne, Sam Kohne, Leo Kohne, Ian Brown, Spencer Brown and Adalynn Brown and several nieces and nephews.

Sam in preceded in death by his parents, former wife Martha Brown, brother Charles and an infant brother.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February12, 2022 at the Milroy United Methodist Church, 114 N Pleasant St, Milroy, IN 46156 at 1:00 pm. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of the service.
