Martha Alice (Cohee) Adkins

Martha Alice (Cohee) Adkins 59, of Rushville, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus Sunday, March 13, 2022, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianaplois with loving family at her side.
Martha was a homemaker and worked her entire life in the food service industry.  She dearly loved people.  Martha had a spirit of the wind, a heart of gold and was a mountain of strength. She inherited these qualities from her loving parents.  She married Terry Adkins on September 20, 1999 and he would precede.

All through her life she has enjoyed helping others no matter what the need. She loved having nieces and nephews stay all night with her and enjoyed spoiling them.
Martha enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, and NASCAR races. She loved spending time and visiting with many, many of her dear loving friends. Most of all she loved playing Yahtzee with her mama.

She is survived by her mother Doris J Cohee of Rushville; brothers, David (Marsha) Cohee of Milroy, S. Allen (Terri) Cohee, of Arlington, Charlie Cohee of Manilla.; sisters, Cheryl Stanley of New Salem, Vickie Farley of TX, and Brenda Nicholson, of Pendleton.  She is also survived by a special friend Jim Tedder of AR.  Martha is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She is also survived by her dog Cyrus, which she loves dearly. Martha had a bleeding heart for all animals.  She is survived by her “special” earthly “sons” that she took under her wing many years ago, Kenny Erving and Roy Hornaday.

Martha is preceded in death by her father, Robert H Cohee, her sister, Barbara K. Cohee, her brother, Ronald E. Cohee. Her maternal grandparents Arie D. & Martha Colestock and paternal grandparents Harvey and Alice Cohee.

A celebration of life will be held 3:30 P.M. Sunday, March 27, 2022 at 307 N. Main St in Rushville, IN with Pastor Kim Perdue officiating. Interment will take place at East Hill Cemetery in Rushville, IN at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to be made to the Rushville Animal Shelter.  Please light a candle and share your memory withe the family at www.ToddFuneralHome.com
