Marvin R. Herbert

Marvin Ray Herbert, 54, of Rushville, IN, passed away May 19, 2020 at Rush Memorial Hospital. 

Marvin was born in Rushville, IN on Sept. 26, 1965, a son of Luzia (Heis) and Virgil W. Herbert, both survive. Marvin was a 1984 graduate of RCHS and was active in the FFA.

He was employed at the Rush County Highway Department as a truck driver and laborer.

Marvin loved to paint and restore tractors and was very talented at his hobby.   His daughter, granddaughter and all his family and friends were his joys in life.  He was a lifetime member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

In addition to his parents Virgil & Luzia Herbert of Rushville, Marvin is survived by a daughter, Kendyl (Blake) Williams and their daughter Karter Williams all of Franklin, IN; a step-daughter Shelby Lacy of Franklin, IN.

Marvin is also survived by three sisters, his twin sister, Marilyn (Kevin) Spilman, of Rushville, IN; Claudia Bailey, of New Castle, IN;  Diane Carroll of Blairsville, GA; a brother, Randy Herbert and companion Kim Flannery of Rushville, IN.  His former wife, Larinda Herbert of Franklin, IN also survives.

He will be deeply missed by nieces and nephews, Erica (Eric) Ripberger, Aaron Spilman, Ryan (Erin) Herbert, Emily Herbert, Abby Herbert, Donald (Lindsey) Martin, Sherry (Walter) Dailey, Morgan Godsey, Alex (Laura) Bailey, Christy Castellon, Chuck Harpring and companion Ashley.

Marvin was preceded in death by his step son, Zach Huff and brother, Bill Whittaker.

A Funeral Service 10 AM on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory in Rushville, IN with Rev. James Brockmeier officiating.  Public burial will follow at Rushville's Calvary Cemetery.  Public visitation will be 4 to 8 PM May 22, 2020 at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory.   Please light a candle and share a memory or condolence online at www.ToddFuneralHome.com.
