Michael W. Mundy

Michael W. Mundy, born on July 11, 1969, in Rushville, IN,  a son of the late Hubert G. “Moe” Mundy & Viola K. “Cregar” Mundy passed away peacefully on October 25, 2023, in Shelbyville, IN.

Michael spent many years as a custodian for Gilliam Janitorial Services. Despite his deteriorating health, Michael maintained a passion for woodworking crafts, a testament to his handy nature.

Above all, Michael was a devoted family man. He is survived by his daughters, Samantha Mundy (companion Joe Dickson), Skylar Wilson (Arthur), and Jesse Mundy; his son, Mason Mundy; his grandchildren, Madison Mundy and Damian Wilson; his sister, Karla Mundy; his brother, Gus Mundy (Coleen); and his brother-in-law, Harley Kaster. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Jane Kaster, and his brother Brian Mundy.

Michael's love for his children and grandchildren was evident in every aspect of his life. His family will remember him as a man who found joy in the simple things, and who taught them the value of loving others.

Following cremation, Michael’s family and friends will gather in private for his life celebration.  However, they wished any gestures of sympathy to be made to the US Renal Care Center 2460 Intelliplex Dr., Shelbyville, IN 46176
