Robert Lee Evans

Robert Lee Evans, 89, of Connersville, IN, passed away March 19th, at Reid Heath in Richmond, IN.

Robert was born in Franklin County, IN on March 17, 1931, a son of the late Sarah E. (Creech) and Malcolm J. Evans.  He married Peggy (Coleman) Evans  Nov. 30, 1968 and she preceded him in death March 12, 2020.  He was a diesel mechanic for Bunzindahl, Hertz and Rider.  Robert was an avid outdoorsman.  He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Connersvile.

Surviving him are eight sons Roger (Debbie) Evans, of Rushville, Terry (Diane) Evans of Barlett, TX, Dennis (Darlene) Evans, of Delphi, IN;  Randy (Marva) Evans, of Connersville, IN, Timothy W. Evans, of Kokomo, IN, Stephen (Patsey) Turney, of Garland, TX;  Glenn (Leslie) Turney, of Mesquite, TX, Vincent (Lisa) Turney, of Garland, TX; three daughters, Pam (Larry) McKee, of Cambridge City, IN Nancy (Joseph) Hughes, of Connersville, IN, Paula (Joseph) Dungan, of Cambridge City, IN and one sister, Ramona Burns of Liberty, IN

He is also survived by many grandchildren and several great grandchildren.  

Preceding her in death were his siblings, Boonie Tomlin, Dorothy Alford, James Evans, Samuel Bennett Evans, and Gerald Eugene Evans; and one granddaughter, Kelly Ann Moschel.

Robert and Peggy will be buried together at Riverside Cemetery, in Cambridge City, IN.
