Rosalie W. (Rose) Stumpf, 100, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away Sept. 28, 2021 at her residence.
Rose was born in Carthage, IN on March 2, 1921, a daughter of the late Stella Taylor and Louis Humes. She graduated from Carthage High School in 1939 and attended IU for a year until WWII. She then went to work for a division of the Curtis Wright company to help the war effort. She was the widow of Richard Frank Stumpf whom she married in 1952 and he preceded her in death in 2008. She was a wife, mother and home maker who had also worked at Allisons many years ago.
Rose is survived by her loving granddaughter, Andrea Stumpf (husband David Springer) of Indianapolis; two great grandchildren, Rosalie Mace and Kairi Ghent also of Indianapolis.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Christopher L. Stumpf.
A Celebration of Life will be 1 PM Friday, Oct. 1, 2021 at Todd Funeral Centre and Crematory in Rushville. Burial will follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery near Carthage, IN. Friends may visit the family at Noon on Friday at the funeral centre.
