Ruth Jeanine (Mason) Laker

Ruth Jeanine Laker 75, of Rushville, passed away at home surrounded by family March 16, 2020.

She was born in Rushville, IN April 18, 1944, a daughter of the late Clara Belle (McIntire) and Fred Mason.

Jeanine graduated from Rushville High School in 1962 and married Wilbur C. Laker on Sept. 12, 1962 and he survives. They were married over 57 years.  She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

She was the owner and bookkeeper at Laker Farm Implement Service Inc. in Rushville.   She and Wilbur started the business in 1978 and have sold and serviced many implement lines throughout the years.  

In addition to her husband Wilbur, she is survived by three sons, Joe (DeLana) Laker, Mark (Amy) Laker and Doug (Chris) Laker all of Rushville; two sisters, Nancy Woosley, of Rushville and Pam (Kent) Brenneman, of Kissimmee, FL;  one brother, Phillip Mason (companion Joann Hanmer) of Winter Haven, FL.

Twelve grandchildren and Seven great grandchildren will also miss her.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Linda Gibson, Barbara Mason and Patricia Ralston

Private Services will be held at Todd Funeral Centre with Rev. James Brockmeier officiating.  Burial will take place at Rushville's Calvary Cemetery.
