Ruth E. Lanham

Ruth Elaine Lanham, 83, of Rushville, IN, passed away Nov. 25, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital.

Ruth was born in Rushville Nov. 16, 1936, daughter of the late Belva (Foster) Piper and Millard  Piper.

She married Richard Eugene Lanham Sr. July 25, 1954 in Rushville.  She attended school in Falmouth, IN where she was a violinist in the school orchestra.  She was a homemaker who loved her family dearly and enjoyed camping and oil painting throughout her life.

Ruth is survived by two daughters, Joyce  Elaine (Raymond) Jones, of Shelbyville, IN;  Janet Carol Lanham, of Connersville, IN; two sons Randall Evan (Connie) Lanham, of Laurel, IN;  Richard Eugene (Nancy Hume) Lanham Jr., of Rushville, IN

She is also survived by ten grandchildren, Taryn (Eric) Sylvia, Marcy (Daniel) Westphal, Tracy (Josh) Washmuth, Amber Lanham (companion Derryl Cregar), Audrey Lanham, Riley Lanham, Matthew Lanham, Raymond Jones Jr, Brenda (Nate) Newbold and Jamie (Roosevelt) Barner.

She will also be missed by 16 great grandchildren, Kaden, Samara, Trinity, Caitlin, Savannah, Bell, Maddy, Dakota, Paige, Aiden, Elliott, Dwayne, Nicholas, Vincent, Pamela, Kaiden.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred Piper and Ralph "Shorty" Piper.

Funeral Services will be held 12 PM Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019 at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory where friends are invited to call from 10 AM until the time of the funeral.  Burial will follow at Rushville's East Hill Cemetery.  Warren Engel will officiate the service.
