Scot A. Carr, age 60, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2023, in Columbus, IN. Born on November 25, 1962, in Rushville, IN, a son of the late Joe and Ruthie (Herbert) Carr. Scot lived a life filled with love for his family.
Scot was a graduate of Rushville Consolidated High School, class of 1981. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. He spent 25 years at Ryobi of Shelbyville as a Die Casting Engineer. His work took him to Japan and Mexico, where he helped set up production lines in new factories.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda R. (Frank) Carr; his son, Ross Carr and his companion Aleisha Workman; his daughter, Harlie and her husband Ryan O'Dell; his brother, Rick and his wife Patty Carr; his sisters, Kathy and her husband Dan Stephens, Diane and her husband Brad Stewart, Sandy and her husband Bob Amenta. He was a proud grandfather to Vivienne and Addilyn Carr, Axel O'Dell, and Brody Egerton.
Also surviving are Linda's family, Debbie and her husband Ed Carlton, Julie and her husband Joe Jessup, Cathy McGrath, and Larry Frank, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister-in-law, Karen and her husband Chuck Mayse.
Scot had a passion for fishing and feeding the fish dog food :-) with his grandchildren. These moments of joy and tranquility were some of his most cherished times.
