Obituary
John Scott Burge, 67, of Carthage, passed away July 14, 2023 in Indianapolis, IN. John was born on April 15th, 1956 in Rushville, IN to Coralyn D. (McBride) Burge and the late John C. Burge.
He was a high school graduate and was later a rural mail carrier in the Carthage community. He married Kathy R. (Akers) Burge on April 9th, 1977 at the Raleigh Christian Church where they both were members. He was also a member of the former Mays Lions Club. He loved animals, especially dogs.
He will be missed by his loving wife, his children, Casey (Robert) Frye and Heather (Angel Ramirez) Burge, his brother, Brett (Marie Godar) Burge and 12 super grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, his daughter, Christy Voltz and his all time favorite dogs Alf & Pete.
