Sharon Ann (Miller) Buckley

Sharon Ann (Miller) Buckley, 79, of Rushville, passed away September 3, 2022 in Shelbyville, IN.

Sharon was born February 14, 1943 in Rushville to the late Donald A and Cora (Fuller) Miller. She worked 32 years as an elementary school teacher at Mays and Rushville Elementary Schools. She loved teaching children and was the long-time spell bowl coach.

Sharon married Orville L Buckley at Glenwood Christian Church on March 14, 1964 and would enjoy two children and 58 years of marriage. 

Sharon attended Little Flatrock Christian Church and in her free time, enjoyed crafts and ceramics, flowers and sitting on the back porch reading and visiting with friends.  Traveling was passion and enjoying her many friendships, one particular being the “Birthday Club.”

Those left behind are her husband Orville Buckley and her son Aaron (Charity) Buckley, of Rushville, IN.  Also missing her are her three granddaughters and grandson. 

She was preceded in death by her son Scott Buckley, sisters Darlene (Joe) Fey and Kay (Randy) Raider.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM, Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory with Pastor Patrick Smith officiating.  Visitation will take place from 11 AM until the time of service on Wednesday.  Burial will follow at Orange North Cemetery.
