Sharon K. (Steffey) Herrmann

Sharon K. Herrmann, 84, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2020, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Donald Herrmann. 

She was born April 29, 1936, in Laurel, IN, and is the daughter of William and Claire J. (Ward) Steffey. 

She met Don, her first and last love, when she was 14 years old. They were together 70 years and married 65 years. They were married at the Laurel Methodist church in 1955.

Sharon graduated from Laurel High School in 1954. She worked at the Connersville Abstract company and also worked at a law firm in Connersville, IN.  She was a devout Christian,  gifted musician, loving mother and doting grandmother.  Her hobbies included cooking, sewing, reading the Bible, and playing the piano and organ. The latter of which she did faithfully for Metamora Bible Baptist church for the last 40 years. In 1990 Sharon won the mother of the year award at the church.

She is survived by her husband, Don Herrmann, one daughter, Lisa K. Lacy, one son, Marc A. (Tammy) Herrmann, 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
