Thomas Eugene Buckley, 90, of Lake Santee and formerly of Rushville, passed away April 12, 2022 at Indiana University Methodist Hospital.
Tom was born November 21, 1931 in Rush County to the late Dempsey and Gladys (Matney) Buckley. He was a graduate of Fairview High School, class of 1945. He later served honorably in the US Army from 1952 to 1954.
He owned and operated the NAPA auto parts store for many years and was employed by the Rush County Sheriffs Department over 50 years.
Tom was a member of Clarksburg Christian Church, The American Legion Post #150; was a 60 year past-master of Orange Lodge F&AM #234, Indianapolis Scottish Rite, 32nd degree, HSUR Shrine and the Rushville Elks Lodge.
Tom is survived by his children Melinda, Molly, Monica, Mark and his brothers Orville (Sharon) Buckley, of Rushville, IN and Carol (Joy) Buckley, of Glennwood, IN.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his brothers Richard Buckley, Dempsey Buckley, Jr. and Charles Buckley.
A Memorial Service will be held 1 P.M. Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory in Rushville, IN with Pastor Jerran Jackson officiating . Visitation will be from 11 A.M. until the time of service. Military honors will will be rendered by the Rush County Honor Guard and a Masonic service led by Orange Lodge and surrounding lodges will follow beginning promptly at 1 P.M.
