Vernon D. Ervin

Vernon D. "Buddy"  Ervin, 80, of Rushville, IN passed away July 24, 2021

Buddy was born in Connersville, IN on May 22, 1941, a son of the late Avylin D.(Moore) and Vernon W. Ervine.

He was a truck driver at Flatrock Furniture Co. Anneville, KY for many years.  He was loved and will be missed by his many nieces and nephews.

He is  survived by a daughter, Tammie L. Lakes, of Cleveland, TN;  a son, Jerry L. Ervin, of Rushville, IN;  Vernon is also survived by a sister, Aleita  Sweet;  two brothers, Kendall Ervine and Donnie Ervine, of all of Rushville, IN

He is also survived by a bonus son, Timmy and a bonus daughter, Kim.  His grandchildren Amanda Lakes of Cleveland, TN, Kelvin Ervin and Miranda Ervin both of Greensburg, IN and five great grand children.  "Buddy" had lived longer than any of his family members.

Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.

A celebration of life service will be 1 PM Wednesday July 28, 2021 at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory 1600 S. SR 3 Rushville, IN 46173 with Pastor Jeff Edwards officiating.  Military Honors will be conducted by the Rush County Honor Guard.  Friends may call after 11 AM until the time of the service.
